Team News

Borussia Dortmund
Borussia M.Gladbach
  • Gio Reyna recently made his comeback from injury after over five months out.
  • Erling Haaland missed the game against Rangers on Thursday and is unlikely to feature here.
  • Mateu Morey remains on the sidelines with a serious knee injury, while former skipper Marcel Schmelzer continues his comeback from a knee injury.
  • Lars Stindl is back in light training after a knee problem, but back up goalkeeper Tobias Sippel is fit after a rib injury.
  • Christoph Kramer could come back in after COVID.

Prediction

  • The gap at the top is again "only" six points after Bayern's shock defeat at Bochum as Borussia continue to sweat on the fitness of the the much-vaunted Erling "Machine" Haaland.
  • Last weekend, Gladbach grabbed their first win since beating an under-strength Bayern in early January and are showing signs of a resurgence.
  • Dortmund have failed to score only once in their last 54 Bundesliga games, that against Gladbach in the 1-0 defeat earlier in the season.
  • Dortmund are yet to draw at home this season in the league, and Gladbach are more than capable of nicking a point in the battle of the Borussias, especially with Dortmund involved in action on Thursday in the Europa League.
