Team News

Bayern
Eintracht Frankfurt
  • Manuel Neuer trained with the team again and has been included in the matchday squad, but Sven Ulreich is expected to start in goal.
  • Corentin Tolisso challenges Javi Martínez for a spot in central midfield.
  • Kingsley Coman could return to the squad as well, but is unlikely to feature from the off.
  • Arjen Robben is still suffering from muscular problems and might for forced to sit out again, with Thomas Müller starting on the right wing.
  • Makoto Hasebe, who was suspended for Frankfurt's final three Bundesliga matches, will return to the starting XI here.
  • Carlos Salcedo and Marco Russ both have a chance of starting in the back-three.
  • Danny da Costa, Jetro Willems and Timothy Chandler compete for two spots on the flanks.
  • Sébastien Haller challenges Luka Jovic for a spot up front.

Prediction

  • Bayern will look to seal the double here to finish their season on a high. It will be their final competitive match of the campaign after they were eliminated from the Champions League semi-finals by Real Madrid. After a disappointing 4-1 home defeat to Stuttgart on the final match day and only two wins from their last five competitive matches, Bayern will look to up their intensity again to bid manager Jupp Heynckes a fitting farewell.
  • Frankfurt missed out on seventh spot after a 1-0 Bundesliga defeat at Schalke last Saturday and therefore have to win this cup final to secure Europa League qualification. Should Bayern win, the final European spot would go to Stuttgart, who leapfrogged Frankfurt on the final day of the Bundesliga season and now occupy seventh spot themselves. Manager Niko Kovac will hope his team put on a strong display in front of his future employers, but his current side have lost seven of their last 12 competitive matches and were thrashed 4-1 by a significantly weakened Bayern side in April.
  • Expect Bayern to dominate this game from the outset and Frankfurt to fight hard to keep this match open for as long as possible.

  • wow That was unexpected.

  • Haha. Great ending. Good luck at Bayern, Niko.

  • Congratulations Frankfurt and Kovac, great fight !

  • 3-1.

  • Come on SGE! You can do this! 1-2

  • @dynek YEEEEEEEEES!!! LET'S GOOOOOO!

  • @dynek No they can't, no chance ...

  • @neumi17 I was sure that Bayern will win, but there's no such thing as "no chance" in football

  • @neumi17 But Frankfurt did it anyway, crazy ! That's football. Bayern and Lewandowski Not good enough up front.

  • @neumi17 you really are obsessed with this guy

  • @wilde I am not obsessed but very much annoyed by him. He is such a big mouth with an huge attitude but he just never showes up when it matters.

  • @neumi17 of course that's not true, but like I told you before, even if it was true, your constant spamming about Lewandowski (in the comment section of every Bayern match) is boring. Really. We heard you the first 20 times and there's no point in repeating yourself. I get it, you have your opinion, but do we have to read it every single time? Remember that user who nicknamed himself "HitlerNazi" who kept writing "farmers league" about Bundesliga every time? Do you want to become like him?

  • 3-0

  • 4-1 bayern

  • Congratulations Frankfurt!

  • Lewandowski lame as ever

  • @neumi17 criticizing Lewandowski as always.

  • @MrNemobody Should make you think ... I don't criticize him when he plays well. But when does he do that ?

  • @neumi17 scores 40 goals every season, still there will be an idiot that will criticise him for few poor games.

  • @benger_alert Lots of idiots than ... you talk like he was an untouchable superstar or something ...

  • @neumi17 Get a life

  • Frankfurt win

  • Now Lewandowski die well.

  • @neumi17 Did well ... : ))) was about time for him to show something. First goal in weeks .

  • 4-1

  • Hilarious odds shoeing by whoscored in the match facts . How can Frankfurt win or draw odd is so low? You are predicting Bayern to win at the end but your facts are laughable
