Maddison leapfrogs Leicester team-mate as most in-form player in the Premier League

Leicester enter the second international break of the season as Liverpool's closest challengers in the Premier League after moving above Manchester City into second place. Leicester turned in a thoroughly impressive performance at home to Arsenal on Saturday and ran out 2-0 winners, while City slipped to a dramatic 3-1 defeat away to Liverpool.

Jamie Vardy was the most in-form player in the Premier League after gameweek 11 but he drops two places in our latest standings despite continuing his remarkable scoring record against the established top-six. The 31-year-old scored his ninth career goal against Arsenal - his favourite opponents - and set up James Maddison to secure all three points.

However, it is Maddison that takes top spot in our player form rankings. All four of Maddison's league goals this season have come in his last six appearances, impressively netting against Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham in that spell. The last international break was one to forget for Maddison but he is at the peak of his powers heading into this one and will now push to make his senior England debut.

Wilfred Ndidi completes a Leicester top three in our Premier League player form rankings after turning in another dominant display. Ndidi came out on top in the midfield battle against Arsenal and the 22-year-old was key in helping Leicester drive up the pitch. Despite the fact Vardy and Maddison scored Leicester's goals it was Ndidi who took the WhoScored Man of the Match display. Ndidi astonishingly averages 8.8 tackles and interceptions combined per game across his last six league appearances.

High-flying Leicester, who are also the most in-form team in Europe's top five leagues at the moment, also have Ricardo Pereira and Youri Tielemans in our top-10 player form rankings in the Premier League. Aside from Vardy due to his age, you get the sense Leicester will have to brace themselves for offers for all of the aformentioned players at the end of the season.

Willian breaks up Leicester's strangle-hold of the Premier League player form rankings, with the Chelsea winger moving up two places to fourth. The Brazil international captained Chelsea to a 2-0 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend in which he registered an assist. Willian has played a direct hand in five of his last six league outings and is still considered Chelsea's first-choice winger ahead of Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Wolves duo Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez are the big movers in the top-10, moving up 11 and eight places, respectively, to gate-crash our standings. Both played instrumental roles in their 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Sunday to continue strong runs of form. Jimenez, who ranks seventh, has played a direct hand in five goals in his last six league appearances (three goals, two assists), while Traore, who ranks fifth, is our Premier League player of the week. Furthermore, Traore has completed 26 dribbles across his last six league outings.

With new faces in the table, it begs the question who has dropped out? Jack Grealish was sixth in the last edition but has now missed two of Aston Villa's last three Premier League matches and no longer qualifies, while a tough afternoon up against Raheem Sterling on Sunday has seen Trent Alexander-Arnold fall from the top-10. Kevin de Bruyne drops from third to eighth, while Leicester centre-back Caglar Soyuncu is now just outside the top places.

Qualifying Rules

Only ratings from each player’s last six league matches are considered, weighted chronologically, with the most recent match carrying greater importance and so on. To qualify each player must have featured in two of the last three league matches and started at least six of the last eight available.
