Copa America Final Combined XI: Lionel Messi among Argentina representatives

The 2024 Copa America final kicks off on Sunday night as Argentina look to win the trophy for the 16th time. Colombia stand in their way, with Los Cafeteros aiming to land Copa America glory for just the second time.

Ahead of the final, we run through the combined XI between both nations.

Emiliano Martinez (Argentina) - 7.08

The first of four Argentina representatives occupies the spot between the sticks. Emiliano Martinez has returned a WhoScored rating of 7.08 at the Copa America having kept four clean sheets and conceded just once.

Daniel Munoz (Colombia) - 7.22

Daniel Munoz's absence from Sunday's Copa America final is a huge blow for Colombia. Munoz is suspended following his dismissal against Uruguay this week and having ranked third for tackles (22), the Crystal Palace star will be missed.

Davinson Sanchez (Colombia) - 7.35

Davinson Sanchez has been key in Colombia's progression to the Copa America final, as evidenced by a WhoScored rating of 7.35. Indeed, the Galatasaray man ranks seventh for total clearances (20) to justify his selection.

Cristian Romero (Argentina) - 7.37

Partnering Sanchez at the back is former Tottenham teammate Cristian Romero, who has returned a WhoScored rating of 7.37. The Argentina star ranks fifth for tackles (21) and is making more passes per game (77.8) than any other player at the competition.

Johan Mojica (Colombia) - 6.88

Rounding off the backline is Colombia left-back Johan Mojica, who has returned a WhoScored rating of 6.88 at the Copa America. The 31-year-old has been solid at the back for Los Cafeteros having averaged a modest 2.7 tackles per 90 at the tournament.

The highest rated player in this combined XI, James Rodriguez ranks top for both key passes (17) and assists (6) at the 2024 Copa America. The Colombia captain also has one goal to his name and that has helped return a WhoScored rating of 8.15.

Richard Rios (Colombia) - 7.25

A driving force from midfield, Richard Rios has completed more dribbles (16) than any other player at the Copa America. With an additional goal to his name, Rios is good value for his inclusion with a WhoScored rating of 7.25.

Alexis Mac Allister (Argentina) - 7.38

Joining Rios in the middle of the park is Argentina star Alexis Mac Allister. No player has won possession in the attacking third more times than the 25-year-old (6), who has also provided two assists to contribute towards a WhoScored rating of 7.38.
