Chelsea destroyer Lewandowski stars in Champions League Team of the Week
The second legs of the final last-16 Champions League ties were played out on Friday and Saturday night and there were plenty of goals scored as Manchester City, Lyon, Barcelona and Bayern Munich secured their quarter-final place.
Here, we take a look at the team of the week from the four matches...
Goalkeeper
Marc-Andre ter Stegen may have conceded a first half penalty on the stroke of half time in Barcelona's eventual 3-1 win over Napoli, but the German shotstopper earns a spot in the Champions League team of the week. His two saves contributed towards a WhoScored rating of 6.95 to earn his place in the best XI.
Defenders
Ter Stegen is the first of four Barcelona players included in the Champions League team of the week with Clement Lenglet (7.88) nailing down a spot at centre-back. The Frenchman headed the Blaugrana ahead at Camp Nou while, at the other end of the pitch, he put his body on the line more than once. Indeed, Lenglet blocked four shot, made three clearances, one interception and one tackle as he played his part in Barcelona's progression to the quarter-final of the Champions League.
Nelson Semedo joins teammate Lenglet in defence with a WhoScored rating of 7.87. While the right-back was unable to have a direct hand in a goal in Barcelona's 3-1 win, Semedo broke forward with intent as he completed seven dribbles in the victory over the Partenopei.
Partnering Lenglet at the heart of the defence is Eder Militao. Real Madrid may have fallen to a 2-1 loss at Manchester City in a tale of two centre-backs for Los Blancos. Raphael Varane endured a 90 minutes to forget, but Militao proved a solid stand in for Sergio Ramos as his WhoScored rating (7.47) suggests. The former Porto man blocked five shots to help keep Real Madrid in the tie, while four tackles and two interceptions capped a solid showing.
Rounding off the defence is the sole Juventus representative in Alex Sandro. A 2-1 win over Lyon may not have been enough to progress to the next round of the Champions League, but Sandro still impressed both on and off the ball. The Brazilian completed three dribbles and created one goalscoring chance, while two interceptions and one tackle helped the left-back to a WhoScored rating of 7.59.
Midfielders
It's a clean sweep for Manchester City in midfield with Gabriel Jesus (8.45) the best of the bunch. The Brazilian had a direct hand in both goals in their 2-1 win over Real Madrid, providing the assist for Raheem Sterling before confirming their spot in the next round of the Champions League with a goal 20 minutes from time as Jesus gave Raphael Varane a torrid evening at the Etihad to sneak in ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo on the left.
On the opposite flank, Raheem Sterling had ample opportunities to add to his one goal in the opening exchanges as he mustered four shots in total before his withdrawal 10 minutes from time. With an addtional two successful dribbles and one key pass, Sterling was good value for his WhoScored rating of 7.86.
In the middle of the park, Kevin De Bruyne was exceptional as the driving force from deep. In all, De Bruyne made nine key passes, more than Real Madrid made as a whole (8). The creative star also worked hard out of possession as he made two tackles and secure his spot in the team of the week.
Finally, Ilkay Gundogan completes the Manchester City midfield contingent with a WhoScored rating of 7.44. The German put in a fine all-round midfield display as he made two tackles and one interception, and drove forward well from deep as he completed two dribbles, to join De Bruyne in the middle of the park.

Lionel Messi is the fourth and final Barcelona player to make the best XI this week as the Argentine excelled once more on the Blaugrana frontline. Messi scored a superb first half strike to put Barcelona in the driving seat to land a spot in the Champions League quarter-final, that coming from one of two shots, while seven successful dribbles contributed towards his WhoScored rating of 9.19.
Saving the best until last, Robert Lewandowski is the WhoScored Champions League player of the week as he had a direct hand in all four goals in Bayern's 4-1 win over Chelsea at the Allianz Arena. The 31-year-old's two goals came from four shots, and two assists from three key passes, as Lewandowski yielded a perfect WhoScored 10 rating for the third time in a Champions League match this season.
