Ligue 1 Best XI: Mbappe, Di Maria and Pepe feature in team of the month

5. Andy Delort (Montpellier) – 7.68 rating

Andy Delort scored or assisted in all three of his league appearances in March and only misses out on a place in our team of the month due to the fact both Kylian Mbappe and Angel di Maria earned superior ratings. Delort’s goal involvements earned Montpellier an extra three points last month and he turned in a WhoScored Man of the Match display in a 2-2 draw at home to Angers.

4. Youcef Atal (Nice) – 7.69 rating

Youcef Atal netted his third league goal of the campaign in March, earning a WhoScored Man of the Match award in a 1-0 win over Strasbourg at the start of the month. Kylian Mbappe has scored in seven league games in a row and four of those matches fell in the month of March. He netted five times last month from 18 shots and completed 10 dribbles in that time. Mbappe has carried the line well in the absence of Neymar and Edinson Cavani, furthering Real Madrid’s interest in the 2018 World Cup winner.

Angel di Maria takes the WhoScored Man of the Match award from PSG team-mate Mbappe after enjoying a sensational month of March. Di Maria scored and assisted in two of his three league appearances and played a direct hand in five goals in that time. Di Maria registered 11 shots; five key passes and completed 12 dribbles. He played a direct hand in all three goals in a 3-1 win over Marseille and earned a perfect WhoScored 10 rating.
