Man Utd expected to meet striker's release clause 

 

Manchester United are expected to meet Joshua Zirkzee's £33.9m release clause as they close in on the Dutch striker, reports Sky Sports. 

 

Zirkzee enjoyed a solid season for Bologna having scored 11 times as they secured a top-four finish. 

 

And the 23-year-old is set to leave the Italian side this summer with a move to Old Trafford expected. 

 

Chelsea open talks with teen sensation 

 

Chelsea have opened talks with Barcelona teenage forward Marc Guiu over a summer move to Stamford Bridge, reports ESPN. 

 

Guiu has a €6m release clause and the Blues are prepared to meet that fee, though they face competition from other European sides. 

 

Barcelona have not given up hope of retaining the 18-year-old's services and may yet make one final offer to keep Guiu, whose contract expires next summer. 

 

Tottenham looking to trump Chelsea to frontman 

 

Tottenham have begun talks with the representatives of Lille striker Jonathan David, reports Football Insider. 

 

 

Chelsea have been linked with a move for the Canada international, who scored 19 times in Ligue 1 last season. 

 

Spurs are in the market for a forward with David one of a number of targets for the north London side. 

 

Arsenal to run the rule over Wolves forward 

 

Arsenal will carry out their own medical assessment of Wolves star Pedro Neto ahead of a potential move for the Portugal international, reports Football Transfers. 

 

Neto returned from injury in time to make Portugal's Euro 2024 squad and was key off the bench in their late 2-1 win over Czechia. 

 

Injury issues restricted the 24-year-old to just 18 league starts last season and the Gunners will make their own checks on Neto before considering a potential move for the former Lazio man. 

 

Aston Villa to rival Chelsea for forward 

 

Aston Villa have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier, according to Sky Sports Germany. 

 

Beier was superb for Hoffenheim last season, scoring 16 times to make Germany's Euro 2024 squad. 

 

 

And his Bundesliga form hasn't gone unnoticed with Premier League pair Chelsea and Villa monitoring the 21-year-old. 

 

Everton expect Man Utd to return for centre-back 

 

Everton expect Manchester United to return with an improved offer for centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, reports the Liverpool Echo. 

 

Branthwaite is believed to have agreed personal terms with United over a summer move to Old Trafford. 

 

However, the two sides are yet to agree on a fee but the Toffees believe United will return with another bid in the off-season.
