Premier League form rankings: Hazard stays top as Kane drops

Despite Chelsea’s heavy defeat to Watford on Monday night, star man Eden Hazard stays top of the WhoScored.com Premier League player form rankings, but there is plenty of movement elsewhere in the top 20.

The Belgian scored what proved to be just a consolation as the Blues fell to second successive shock defeat and was the only man to come out of the game with any credit for the visitors. It was his fourth league goal in his last six appearances, completing a whopping 38 dribbles in that time.

His closest challenger is Mo Salah, whose brace against Tottenham ensured that he climbed three places on the leaderboard, while Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne remain in the top five despite the stalemate with Burnley at the weekend.

The only new entry in the top 20 this week is Christian Eriksen (fourth), who wasn’t at his best at Anfield but now qualifies having played Spurs’ last two league games, with two goals and two assists in his last six outings. Clubmate Harry Kane, meanwhile, is the biggest faller in the top 20, dropping nine places to 13th despite bagging the 100th Premier League goal of his career from the spot having missed a penalty moments earlier in a memorable evening on Merseyside.

The biggest climbers, meanwhile, are Southampton duo James Ward-Prowse (up 30 places to 11th) and Jack Stephens (up 48 to 14th), with the latter netting in back-to-back league games as Saints gradually build some momentum. Elsewhere former Aston Villa forwards Christian Benteke (20th) and Jordan Ayew (8th) soar into the leaderboard, while there is space for Arsenal defensive duo Nacho Monreal and Shkodran Mustafi in the top ten.
