Europa League Team of the Week: Wolves dominate XI after emphatic Espanyol victory

Here we run through the best WhoScored rated XI from Thursday's Europa League action, with additional information about their Football Index share prices.

Goalkeeper: Pau Lopez (Roma) - 8.08 rating

Football Index share price - £0.36

Roma grinded out a 1-0 win at home to Gent in the first leg of their last-32 tie and have goalkeeper Pau Lopez to thank for preventing their opponents from scoring a crucial away goal. Lopez made five saves and even won one aerial duel.

Right-back: Almamy Toure (Frankfurt) - 7.82 rating

Frankfurt ran out surprise 4-1 victors in their clash with Salzburg on Thursday to put themselves in a very commanding position to go through to the next round. Almamy Toure helped Frankfurt get the thumping underway with an assist for their opener after 12 minutes. The 23-year-old registered two key passes in total and even had three shots. Moreover, Toure won four aerial duels and completed seven tackles and interceptions combined.

Centre-back: Diego Godin (Inter) - 8.83 rating

Football Index share price - £0.40

Diego Godin hasn't quite made the impact many were expecting at Inter this season but the experienced centre-back turned in his best display for the club in their 2-0 win at Ludogorets. Godin earned the WhoScored Man of the Match award after winning four aerial duels, managing seven clearances and completing 10 tackles and interceptions combined. The 34-year-old remarkably even completed four dribbles - a personal record in any league and European appearance in the last 11 years.

Centre-back: Christopher Jullien (Celtic) - 8.30 rating

Football Index share price - £0.45

Celtic will be pleased with their night's work in Denmark after leaving Copenhagen with a 1-1 draw and a crucial away goal. It was Odsonne Edouard that scored Celtic's goal (again) but it was Christopher Jullien's display at the back that was most impressive. The 26-year-old won all 11 aerial duels he contested, while also making 15 clearances and five tackles and interceptions combined.

Left-back: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - 8.19 rating

Football Index share price - £2.91

Bukayo Saka is emerging as a real plus point in an otherwise underwhelming season for Arsenal and the teenager turned in another thoroughly accomplished display for the Gunners away to Olympiacos. Saka set up the match winner late on to take home the WhoScored Man of the Match award. He has now played a direct hand in a goal in three of his last four outings.

Right wing: Daichi Kamada (Frankfurt) - 8.95 rating

Football Index share price - £1.24

Daichi Kamada was one of two hat-trick scorers in Thursday's Europa League action, helping Frankfurt to an emphatic home win over one of the tournament favourites Salzburg. The 23-year-old netted his treble within an hour of the match, doubling his tally in the competition. Remarkable considering he has not scored in 17 Bundesliga appearances this season.

Central midfield: Ruben Neves (Wolves) - 8.98 rating

Football Index share price - £1.78

Ruben Neves helped cap off a perfect night's work for Wolves with a trademark long range stunner, his first goal for the club in any competition since November - also from outside the box. Neves. Against Espanyol, the Portugal international also weighed in with nine tackles and interceptions combined, only two shy of his tally after five Europa League outings this season.

Europa League Team of the Week: Wolves dominate XI after emphatic Espanyol victory

Central midfield: Christian Eriksen (Inter) - 8.37 rating

Football Index share price - £2.40

Christian Eriksen netted his first goal for Inter since joining from Tottenham last month in a 2-0 win away to Ludogorets. The Denmark international hit the target with two of his attempts on goal and was also denied by the woodwork. Eriksen registered three key passes in total and managed two tackles and interceptions combined in a very encouraging display for Antonio Conte.

Left wing: Diogo Jota (Wolves) - 9.49 rating

Football Index share price - £1.75

Diogo Jota is our Europa League player of the week after scoring a hat-trick in Wolves win at home to Espanyol, his second treble of the campaign. In fact, the 23-year-old is the first player from a Premier League club to score multiple hat-tricks in the same European campaign since we started receiving Opta data in 2009. Jota scored his treble from three attempts and was brought off with seven minutes of normal time remaining to revel in his night's work.

Striker: Arthur Cabral (FC Basel) - 8.06 rating

FC Basel are all but through to the next round of the competition after scoring three unanswered goals away to APOEL Nicosia. Arthur Cabral scored and took home the WhoScored Man of the Match award, his second goal in the competition this season. The 21-year-old striker had four shots in total and also won three aerial duels. Notably, Cabral made three tackles against APOEL having failed to make a single one in his previous six appearances in the competition this season.

Striker: Raul Jimenez (Wolves) - 8.07 rating

Football Index share price - £1.62

As a striker, Raul Jimenez will have been disappointed not to get on the scoresheet in Wolves' 4-0 drubbing of Espanyol but the Mexico international did play a key role in the victory with an assist for the opening goal of the night. It was from one of four key passes registered by the 28-year-old, while Jimenez also won five aerial duels and had two attempts of his own.
