Mads Hermansen (Leicester) - 8.93

Despite his side ultimately falling to a late, late defeat at the Emirates on Saturday, Danish goalkeeper Mads Hermansen starred for Leicester, making a whopping 13 saves to keep the Gunners at bay. Hermansen also made four accurate throws and 10 accurate long balls, to record the second best rated goalkeeping performance in the Premier League this season.

James Justin (Leicester) - 8.49

Joining Hermansen in our XI is Leicester team-mate James Justin, who bagged a brace inside the first 20 minutes of the second half against Arsenal. Justin, whose second strike particularly was certainly one to remember, also contributed to his side’s performance with a tackle, 10 clearances and two interceptions.

Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace) - 8.44

Though Crystal Palace eventually fell to a defeat at Everton on Saturday, Eagles captain Marc Guehi makes our Team of the Week following a solid display at Goodison Park. The England international defender poked the visitors in front after just 10 minutes, while he also made two key passes, nine accurate long balls, two tackles, two blocks and 10 clearances, for a WhoScored rating of 8.44.

James Tarkowski (Everton) - 7.93

Partnering Guehi at centre-back in our XI is Saturday’s opposite number James Tarkowski, who looked back to his best alongside the returning Jarrad Branthwaite for the Toffees. Tarkowski made three blocks, nine clearances, two interceptions and two tackles, in a fine defensive display, helping Everton to their first league victory of the season.

Riccardo Calafiori (Arsenal) - 7.81

Summer signing Riccardo Calafiori followed up his fine strike at the Etihad Stadium last weekend with a strong all-round showing in Arsenal’s victory over Leicester on Saturday. The Italian made two key passes, two successful dribbles, three accurate long balls and three tackles to return a WhoScored rating of 7.81.

Dejan Kulusevski (Tottenham) - 8.73

The star of the show for Tottenham in Sunday’s 3-0 win at Old Trafford was Dejan Kulusevski, who appears to be enjoying his deeper midfield role under Ange Postecoglou in recent weeks. The Sweden international added Spurs’ second goal of the afternoon just two minutes into the second half, poking a clever, improvised finish past Andre Onana, while he also managed nine key passes - the most by a player in a single Premier League match so far this season.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea) - 10.0

Speaking of seasonal records, Chelsea’s Cole Palmer became the first player to register a perfect 10.0 WhoScored rating in the Premier League this season when he scored all four of the Blues’ goals against Brighton on Saturday. In doing so, Palmer became the first player in Premier League history to score four inside a single half, while he complemented his goalscoring exploits by making four key passes and created two big chances.

Dwight McNeil (Everton) - 8.32

With a quick fire brace just minutes into the second half, Dwight McNeil helped Everton to their first league victory of the season against Crystal Palace on Saturday. The 24-year-old netted his second and third league goals of the season from a total of three shots, while he also made one key pass, one successful dribble, three accurate crosses and two ball recoveries.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) - 9.63

Despite missing out on a Premier League goal involvement for the first time this season, Bukayo Saka was the star for Arsenal in Saturday’s win over Leicester. The 23-year-old made an impressive eight key passes and eight successful dribbles - both records in a league match this season following the full time whistle - while he also managed two tackles and four ball recoveries, to land a WhoScored rating of 9.63.

Leandro Trossard (Arsenal) - 8.21

Saka is joined in our front three by Gunners team-mate Leandro Trossard, whose strike on the stroke of half-time was the perfect response to his red card at Manchester City last weekend. The Belgium international also contributed with two key passes and two successful dribbles, on his way to a WhoScored rating of 8.21.

Jadon Sancho (Chelsea) - 8.31

Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho made it three assists in as many Premier League matches for Chelsea when he set up Cole Palmer for the Blues’ fourth goal against Brighton on Saturday. That assist came from Sancho’s only key pass of the afternoon, while he also played a part in winning the penalty that Palmer would go on to convert 13 minutes earlier. Sancho also managed seven successful dribbles and five ball recoveries, in what was his best rated display for the Blues so far.
