Chelsea pair Palmer and Madueke make European Team of the Week

 

London pair Chelsea and Tottenham dominate the European Team of the Week with two players each. Torino, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Hoffenheim, Napoli, Liverpool and Manchester City are also represented in the side. 

 

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic (Torino) - 8.96 

 

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic was the star performer as Torino beat Atalanta 2-1 over the weekend. The Serbian shotstopper made eight saves, including a late penalty stop, to secure all three points and a WhoScored rating of 8.96. 

 

Eder Militao (Real Madrid) - 8.43 

 

Eder Militao claimed his first assist of the season as Real Madrid secured a 3-0 win over Real Valladolid. The Brazilian turned provider for Brahim Diaz late on, that coming from one of two key passes, and he completed three dribbles to return a WhoScored rating of 8.43. 

 

Cristian Romero (Tottenham) - 9.04 

 

Joining Militao at the back is Tottenham's Cristian Romero, who secured a WhoScored rating of 9.04 in Saturday's 4-0 win over Everton. Romero scored Spurs' third midway through the second half and made six tackles in a dominant display. 

 

 

Nico Schlotterbeck (Borussia Dortmund) - 8.63 

 

Rounding off the backline is Borussia Dortmund star Nico Schlotterbeck, who earned a WhoScored rating of 8.63 as the German side made a winning start to the Bundesliga campaign. The Dortmund defender was imperious at the back, making eight tackles, six clearances and winning six aerial duels. 

 

Noni Madueke (Chelsea) - 9.83 

 

With a WhoScored rating of 9.83, Noni Madueke is the European Player of the Week. Madueke bagged a second half hat-trick as Chelsea romped to a 6-2 win at Wolves, netting with three of six shots. The Blues winger also made one key pass and one tackle in a standout display. 

 

Cole Palmer (Chelsea) - 9.28 

 

Joining Chelsea teammate Madueke in the XI is Cole Palmer, who was directly involved in four of their six goals at Wolves on Sunday. Palmer registered a hat-trick of assists - all for Madueke - at Molineux, and netted once to get his season up and running. 

 

Andrej Kramaric (Hoffenheim) - 9.17 

 

Hoffenheim got their campaign underway with a narrow 3-2 win over promoted Holstein Kiel, with Andrej Kramaric key. The experienced Croat bagged a hat-trick in the home victory, netting with three of four shots, and was unfortunate not to add an assist having made three key passes. 

 

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Napoli) - 9.81 

 

After last week's 3-0 loss at the hands of Verona, Napoli made amends with a 3-0 win over Bologna on Sunday with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia the star. The winger scored with one of three shots and provided one assist from three key passes. Kvaratskhelia also completed five dribbles in a performance that returned a WhoScored rating of 9.81.

Luis Diaz was key as Liverpool claimed a 2-0 win over Brentford to claim a first victory at Anfield over Arne Slot. The Colombian was directly involved in both Reds goals, scoring with one of three shots before providing for Mohamed Salah in the second half with one of four key passes. 

 

Erling Haaland (Manchester City) - 9.44 

 

Erling Haaland features on the frontline in the European Team of the Week having earned a WhoScored rating of 9.44 in Manchester City's 4-1 win over Ipswich. Haaland scored the first hat-trick of the Premier League season from seven shots, while he also completed two dribbles against the promoted side. 

 

Heung-Min Son (Tottenham) - 9.05 

 

Partnering Haaland in the XI is Tottenham's Son Heung-Min, who scored twice in Spurs' 4-0 win over Everton. Son got the better of Jordan Pickford with two of three shots, and made one key pass and one successful dribble to land a WhoScored rating of 9.05.
