The high profile matches appear to be never ending right now for Manchester City.
After Saturday's derby Pep Guardiola's side will have faced Liverpool, Chelsea and neighbours Manchester United in the Premier League, with Arsenal and high-flying Leicester their following two opponents before Christmas.
It's undeniably a make or break period of the campaign for the reigning champions then, who simply can't afford to fall any further behind leaders Liverpool in their bid for a third successive league title.
United are in a similar predicament in terms of losing ground on their rivals for a Champions League finish, currently sat eight points adrift of Chelsea in fourth, so the magnitude of this Manchester derby cannot be overstated.

Tip 1: Draw HT/City FT
Our first tip is to back the favourites while considering Manchester United's strong defensive record in the first half of matches. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side have conceded 18 Premier League goals this season but just five before in the interval across 15 games.

Tip 4: Ashley Young to be carded
While Young may not be guaranteed a starting berth for Manchester United any longer, the club captain was given the nod over Luke Shaw and Brandon Williams in the victory over Tottenham in midweek and should keep his place. His experience is often called upon in the derby, having started each of the last four league meetings between the sides, and the makeshift full-back is rarely too far from a booking in any game.
Despite starting just nine league matches the former winger has already served a suspension for an accumulation of cautions, with four of his five yellow cards this season coming in five starts away from home. Considering the amount of time United are likely to spend defending this weekend, it wouldn't be a shock to see Young and referee Martin Atkinson in regular contact, with said official brandishing nine yellow cards the last time he officiated this fixture in 2018.
