Football INDEX is the world’s first football stock market where you can buy and sell shares in footballers with real money. Football INDEX offers fans a chance to bet on the future success of football players compared to the short-lived outcome of betting on football results.
Intrigued by what Football INDEX has to offer, but unsure whether to gamble your money? For a special time only, Football INDEX are now offering an improved 7-day risk free period where they will refund any deposits made within the first seven days of the first deposit. Usually, this is up to a total of £500, but by using the promocode ‘WHOSCOREDFI’ it will be £1000! Think of it as a trial period where you will effectively have up to £1000 to play with during your first week of trading.
Still undecided what footballs to add to your portfolios? Football INDEX even provides users with a handy tool to help you make informed decisions on trending players, located at the top right hand side of the home page. Share prices tend to fluctuate, but they aren’t just determined by player performance. Share prices can also increased based on the media attention a player receives on any given day of trading.
Everyday, Football INDEX highlights the five biggest market moves over a 24-hour period. Here are the current five:
1. FERRAN TORRES (VALENCIA)
Teenage Valencia sensation Ferran Torres has caused quite the stir in Spain in the last few days. The 18-year-old has reportedly turned down an offer from Barcelona in order to wait for Real Madrid, and that has sparked mass interest on Football INDEX.
Torres’ share price has jumped a staggering 91.10% in the last 24 hours and he is now trading at £0.98 a share. The 18-year-old has made five league appearances for Valencia this season and chipped in with an assist on his full debut at the end of last month.
Despite being tipped with a huge future, it’s unlikely Torres will get a serious run in the Valencia side between now and the end of the season, so it may not be worth loading up on his shares unless you are convinced he will make a huge profile move in the summer.
2. JOSH DA SILVA (ARSENAL)
Now that Arsenal’s league season is well and truly finished, supporters are calling for some of the academy players to get first-team opportunities between now and the end of the season. As Arsene Wenger prioritises the Europa League, that may well end up happening.
As a result, 19-year-old Josh Da Silva’s Football INDEX share price has increased 48.45% in the last 24 hours and he is now trading at £0.46 a share. The teenager has been limited to just three substitute appearances in all competitions for Arsenal this season.
Given how much his share price has jumped in a short space of time, it might be worth holding back if you are contemplating adding Da Silva to your portfolio. There does not appear to be any significant room left to make a worthwhile yield on your shares for now, as first-team appearances still seem unlikely for now.
3. MARTIN TERRIER (STRASBOURG)
If France hadn’t already produced enough talent in the last few years, Martin Terrier looks set to add to Didier Deschamps’ riches in the coming years. The 21-year-old Lyon forward is on loan at Strasbourg this season and has played a direct hand in six goals in 21 appearances.
Everton and Monaco were reportedly interested in signing Terrier on a permanent basis in January, but nothing came to pass and the exciting young forward will instead ply his trade his France for the remainder of the season.
The 2018 World Cup will come too soon for the France Under-21 international, but he is certainly one to look out for in major tournaments beyond Russia this summer. His Football INDEX share price has increased 31.51% in the last 24 hours and if you are interested in a long-term gain, then he could be the player for you.
4. ILKAY GUNDOGAN (MANCHESTER CITY)
Fresh from completing a seasonal Premier League record of 167 passes against Chelsea on Sunday, Ilkay Gundogan’s Football INDEX share price has increased 29.79% in the last day of trading. The Manchester City midfielder was thoroughly impressive against Antonio Conte’s side, but proceed with caution if you are eyeing shares in the Germany international.
Gundogan has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth at City and now that Fernandinho is back from suspension that will only be harder to achieve going forward. David Silva and Kevin De Bruyne operate either side of Fernandinho in Guardiola’s midfield, leaving Gundogan to settle for playing time from the bench.
In fact, the 27-year-old has only started nine Premier League matches this season, so it might be best avoiding the former Borussia Dortmund midfielder on Football INDEX for now.
5. BERNARDO SILVA (MANCHESTER CITY)
The second Manchester City player in the top five is Bernardo Silva, who has similarly been forced to watch most of the season from the sidelines. The 23-year-old has only started 11 Premier League matches this season, but he has been more involved of late, due to injuries to Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.
Silva has scored or assisted in six of his last 10 appearances for City (three goals, three assists), even netting in successive matches for Pep Guardiola’s side. Since scoring the winner against Chelsea on Sunday, his share price on Football INDEX has increased 20.85% in the last 24 hours, and with Sterling still dealing with a muscular injury, it might be worth adding shares of Silva to your portfolio for the coming weeks.
