UPDATE: New Match Centre, Chalkboard and Tables Launched!

WhoScored is getting even better! We are delighted to announce the launch today of a few new and improved features on the website which will give you, our users, greater access to an even larger selection of statistics.

Match Centre

We have updated the Match Centre to include lots of new stats, both for teams and players, and you can also now view those statistics in even more detail. For each individual stat it is now possible to see which players contributed most and least in that regard, whilst it is also possible to see further details of those events by clicking the 'More' tab once any stat has been selected.

Another great feature is the manually adjustable timeline. With this, you are able to view the stats from any match in any given time frame that you wish. You are thus able to view which player performed best in the final 15 minutes of the game, or who completed the most dribbles in the first half, or who made the most tackles in the 13 minutes before half time. You can see any stat in any period of the game you like.

The new Match Centre also includes information such as the managers, name of the stadium, weather conditions, referee and more.

Prefer the old match centre? Click on the 'Switch to old version' button above the top right corner of the match centre (highlighted in red box) to revert to the old version.

Chalkboard

The new Chalkboard feature allows you even greater insight into the statistics behind a match. Here, you can see the breakdown of any given statistic, visualised on an on-screen pitch by location of each event. It is possible to see the stats from every player or (de)select any number of players you wish.

You can see, for example, where any player(s) had a shot or the location of all of their passes, clearances or fouls. Furthermore, by clicking on any event on the chalkboard you will be given further details of that event and its outcome.

Again, there is a sliding minute-by-minute timeline for you to adjust so you can view the details of specific stats for any given period of any given game.

Tables

Our team and player statistics tables have also been updated to include more stats in the Summary, Defensive, Offensive and Passing tabs that we already had, while a new 'Detailed' tab has now been added.

Under this Detailed tab on player stats tables, there are lots more stats with plenty of sub categories for you to explore. Shots can be broken down into zones from which they were attempted, body parts, their accuracy or the situation from which they occurred. You can again choose different time frames and you can narrow down your search by home/away team, position, nationality and age. So, if you want to know which under-21 English central midfielder made the most unsuccessful dribbles in the first half of away Premier League games last season, WhoScored.com is the place to find out!

In team statistics tables for any given tournament you can compare even more detailed team stats with similar sub-categories as well as other ways of narrowing down your search, such as by formation.
