Following a weekend of fantastic action across Europe’s top 5 leagues we take a look at the changes to the WhoScored.com team form rankings ahead of the return of the Champions League.

While Paris Saint Germain stay top as they prepare to travel to the Bernabeu to face Real Madrid - more on them later - following another win over Toulouse, Juventus are now the Ligue 1 leaders’ closest challengers, which spells trouble for Tottenham.

The reigning Serie A champions kept a 15th clean sheet in 16 matches in all competitions as they beat rivals Fiorentina last Friday, with Gonzalo Higuain very much back among the goals. While visitors to the J Stadium on Tuesday Spurs recorded a win of their own in the North London derby, they slip one place to 12th in the form rankings over the last six matches after more impressive victories by some of those previously beneath them.

Atletico Madrid are into the top ten after a fifth win in six, while Torino (2-0 winners over Udinese) and RB Leipzig (2-0 winners over Augsburg) join them. Meanwhile Napoli are hot on their heels, jumping six places to 11th after a superb 4-1 win over Lazio - who subsequently dropped seven places to 18th).

Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid are up three and into fourth following a comprehensive 5-2 win over Real Sociedad and as such enter their game with PSG having picked up ten points from the last 12 available - scoring 18 goals in the process! Wednesday night’s game between the two promises to be a classic.

Elsewhere West Ham are high risers into the top 20 after victory over Watford, losing just one of their last eight now, Liverpool also make the leaderboard following a comfortable win over Southampton, while Manchester United are the biggest fallers in the top 20, down eight places to 16th following defeat to Newcastle on Sunday.
