Team News

Leeds
Man Utd
  • Marcelo Bielsa has confirmed Raphinha and Rodrigo will both miss Sunday's game against Manchester United in a big blow for Leeds.
  • Pascal Struijk should continue at centre-back with Liam Cooper still suspended. Bielsa could actually name an unchanged side from Monday night.
  • Manchester United have had a rare week off to prepare for Sunday's trip to Elland Road - their first in the Premier League since 2003 when a late Roy Keane goal won it.
  • Eric Bailly is back in training and should return to the matchday squad here, but Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire will continue at the back.
  • Dean Henderson is expected to keep his place in the side despite a less-than-convincing display against Burnley last weekend.
  • Paul Pogba may be forced to play deeper against Leeds in order for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to get Mason Greenwood, Edinson Cavani and Marcus Rashford in the side.
  • Though there is a chance Rashford misses out as he hasn't trained all week. Dan James could be a surprise starter after performing well in the reverse fixture.

Prediction

  • Unbeaten in their last five matches, Leeds are certainly in the right shape to avoid another 6-2 drubbing against Manchester United. They should be confident of avoiding defeat in any form having beaten Manchester City and drawn with Chelsea and Liverpool in their current unbeaten run.
  • Manchester United have won five in a row in the league, are unbeaten in their last 12 and remarkably haven't lost away from home in the competition since January 2020. Elland Road would be rocking with fans in attendance for this fixture but the absence of supporters certainly favours United.

  • 1-0 home win

  • Has anybody else noticed that teams seem to have a lot of extra motivation when playing against the “big 6” now? Not that Leeds don’t always play with this intensity, but the tackling in every “big 6” game seems to be with a little more vigor, a little wild too.

  • 3 - 4 ( Mark Viduka 20' , Ian Harte 62' , Lee Bowyer 80' -- Paul Scholes 9 ' , Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 37' 39' , Ryan Giggs 55' )

  • @Fromhell How's the weather in 2002?

  • @Aereze The weather is fine, and Leeds has a surprisingly good team.

  • 1-1

  • 2-1 home win

  • Btts and X2

  • Should be an easy win for the away side

  • Leeds - Man United 1:2(1:0)

  • but the absence of supporters certainly favours United.? Yes Leeds UNITED. Going to be a tough game but I fancy Leeds to win this especially if Raphinha is fit. Man Utd will have one eye on Europa Action midweek. they will be run ragged Sunday against a very fit Leeds Team. All on the first goal for me. My money is on Leeds getting it. I think they only failed to win 1 game when going ahead first. 2-0 or 2-1 Leeds.

  • away win

  • 1-3 MU
