Team News
Newcastle
Liverpool
- With as many as seven players likely to be sidelined, Steve Bruce has very little options to choose from for the final game of the season, particularly at the back.
- Full-backs Danny Rose and Emil Krafth had to play in a back three at Brighton, keeping a clean sheet, but the latter is now a doubt with an ankle injury.
- The team may well remain unchanged from said stalemate at the Amex, though both Joelinton and Andy Carroll will be battling to bench Dwight Gayle.
- It remains to be seen what sort of side Jurgen Klopp will select for the champions final game of the season, though there will surely be some rotation with there no longer being an opportunity to hit the 100-point mark.
- Naby Keita and Gini Wijnaldum were replaced relatively early against Chelsea and should be in contention to keep their places as a result, while Adam Lallana was not given one last Anfield appearance in midweek but could make his final outing for the club in some capacity here.
Wijnaldum played as 6 and straight away had a v good game, 6 is the position more suitable to his role of supporting both front and back.
Are Liverpool gonna play or they on a vacation already...
@Kentzz001 Many changes to the starting 11 so we'll see
I hope Xherdan Shaqiri gets to play!
Newcastle to win. 2-1
Another dead rubber that will probably see a great deal of players playing there last games for either club
