Leicester agree club-record deal for Maguire’s replacement

Leicester have agreed a club-record £45m deal with Brighton for centre-back Lewis Dunk, claims The Sun.

Leicester star Harry Maguire will undergo his medical with Manchester United on Tuesday after agreeing a world-record deal worth £80m with their Premier League rivals.

Brendan Rodgers is wasting no time in wrapping up Maguire’s replacement and have already match Brighton’s valuation of Dunk.

Leicester agree club-record deal for Maguire’s replacement

Leicester broke their club-transfer record to sign Youri Tielemans from Monaco on a permanent deal earlier this summer and are now on the brink of surpassing that fee in order to land Dunk.

The 27-year-old, who has one England cap, has spent his entire career at Brighton but is now set for a big money move to Leicester.

Only two players have blocked more shots in the Premier League in the last two campaigns than Dunk (96), though his willingness to throw himself into the line of duty has come at a cost, as he has scored the most own goals in the division in that time (four).
