Leeds are in talks with Bayern Munich to sign rising midfielder Michael Cuisance in a deal worth in the region of £20m, claims The Daily Mirror.
Cuisance only signed from Bundesliga rivals Gladbach last summer but has reportedly told Bayern he wants regular playing time this season.
Hansi Flick's side were planning to promote Cuisance in the wake of Thiago's departure but with Leeds' offer on the table they could instead cash in.
The 21-year-old was left out of Bayern's squad for their shock 4-1 defeat to Hoffenheim at the weekend amid speculation over his future.
Leeds are willing to hand the French midfielder a five-year deal at Elland Road to bolster their midfield options and take their summer spending spree towards the £100m mark.
The former France Under-20 international was limited to just nine appearances in his maiden Bundesliga season for Bayern and didn't feature at all during their Champions League winning-campaign.
However, only now-Liverpool ace Thiago managaed as many dribbles per 90 as Cuisance (3.6) for Bayern in the Bundesliga last season.
