Juventus have made signing a new left-back a priority this summer and have earmarked Chelsea outcast Emerson as a top transfer target, claims Calciomercato.
The former Roma full-back has endured a difficult two years since joining Chelsea in 2018 and has no future under current boss Frank Lampard.
Emerson has regularly been linked with a return to Serie A and former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was keen on a reunion at Inter before signing Ashley Young in January.
Both Emerson and Marcos Alonso are free to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and Juventus are looking to hand the 25-year-old a route back to Italy.
The Old Lady want competition for Alex Sandro and they also have an eye on his long-term replacement, with the Brazilian due to turn 30 midway through next season.
Sandro has been a tremendous player for Juventus over the last five years and the Serie A giants have regularly had to fend off interest from Premier League clubs in that time.
Since swapping Roma for Chelsea, Emerson has only started 20 league games for the Premier League outfit. The defender last scored a league goal in the 2015/16 campaign.
