Team News

Leicester
Tottenham
  • Matthew James remains the only injury absentee for Claudio Ranieri.
  • After an excellent start to the season Ranieri is unlikely to make unforced changes.
  • The signing of experienced midfiedler Gökhan Inler will only boost confidence within the camp, although he may have to make his debut from the bench.
  • Harry Kane is a slight doubt for their trip to the Midlands after being substituted in their 2-2 draw against Stoke last weekend. He is, however, expected to overcome injury to start.
  • Ben Davies is expected to keep Danny Rose out of the starting XI after grabbing his chance in the first team.
  • Andros Townsend and Alex Pritchard aren't expected to feature as they continue their road back to full fitness.

Prediction

  • Leicester City are flying at the moment and will fancy their chances against any opponent. Even though Claudio Ranieri's appointment was met with a great deal of scepticism, the Foxes haven't shown any signs of slowing down from the magnificent form that ensured their Premier League status at the back end of last season.
  • Ranieri has won both of his league matches in charge and will be looking to make it three straight wins when they meet a Tottenham side still searching for their first win of the season.
  • Harry Kane is yet to score this season, but can take confidence when he lines up against Saturday's opponents. It was in this fixture last season where he netted his only Premier League hat-trick.
  • On the whole, Spurs haven't inspired much confidence this season, particuarly in the manner in which they blew a 2-0 goal lead at home to Stoke with just over 10 minutes remaining. After such a morale-effecting result, the last person they would want to line up against is Riyad Mahrez, who is the league's highest rated player (9.38) after two games.
  • Leicester's run of form has to end at some point, but this might not prove the fixture where it does.
