Team News

Porto
Estoril
  • Stephen Eustáquio was a standout performer in midweek and will push for a start in the FC Porto engine room.
  • Diogo Costa, Tiago Djaló, Alan Varela, Pepê and Samu should reclaim their starting XI spot after being rested against Moreirense in midweek.
  • With a couple of assists, Pedro Amaral was a standout performer last time out and will be full of confidence here.
  • Fabiano García and Begraoui will be in competition to feature out wide.

Prediction

  • FC Porto kept their fourth consecutive clean sheet win across all competitions in midweek by beating Moreirense FC 2-0. Vítor Bruno's men should be confident here and will look for a victory that keeps them on the hunt for top spot.
  • After being humiliated in the Portuguese Cup, Estoril reacted emphatically, beating Arouca 4-1. Even so, coach Ian Cathro didn't escape some criticism from the supporters as they think that the team's maximum potential hasn't been reached.
  • Estoril's last trip to the Dragão was a memorable one, with the Canarinhos beating FC Porto 1-0. They will be looking to capitalise on the physical wear and tear on Vítor Bruno's men to repeat the feat, which, however, is unlikely to happen.
