Team News

Hibernian
Ross County
  • Hibernian manager David Gray named two changes to the Hibs team that recorded a massive 3-0 victory against Motherwell at Fir Park, before losing to Celtic in Glasgow by the same scoreline at Parkhead last Saturday.
  • Goalkeeper Jordan Smith kept his place between the sticks. Jack Iredale, Rocky Bushiri and Warren O'Hora continued in the Hibees' backline.
  • Both changes came at wing-back with Lewis Miller and Jordan Obita replacing Chris Cadden and Junior Hoilett.
  • Nectarios Triantis and Joe Newell remained in the middle of the pitch, with Nicky Cadden and Elie Youan on the flanks in support of lone striker Mykola Kuharevich.
  • Ross County boss Don Cowie made a raft of changes after the Staggies were pumped at Parkhead as they lost 5-0 to Celtic in Glasgow, before a 3-0 home defeat to Rangers in Dingwall on Sunday.
  • Jack Hamilton replaced Ross Laidlaw between the sticks. Scott Allardice came into the Staggies' back three at Ryan Leak's expense, joining Elijah Campbell and Akil Wright. Michee Efete replaced James Brown at right wing-back.
  • Club captain Connor Randall was reinstated in midfield, replacing Charlie Telfer, to join Josh Nisbet and Noah Chilvers. Jordan White was sat amongst the substitutes, as Alex Samuel joined Ronan Hale in attack.

Prediction

  • Three points separate Hibernian, bottom of the Scottish Premiership pile, and Ross County sat in eighth place in the league table ahead of the two teams meeting at Easter Road on Saturday.
  • Hibernian slipped to the foot of the Scottish Premiership table as their long wait for a win at Celtic Park continued, having not beaten the Hoops in Glasgow's east end since January 2010, and city rivals Hearts beat Dundee at Tynecastle last weekend. The Hibees have won just one of their eight league games at Easter Road this season so would love a second home victory this weekend.
  • Fortunately for Hibernian, the weekend visitors Ross County are the only team in the Scottish Premiership who haven't won away from home this season. The Staggies have scored just one league goal on their travels this season, albeit that came in Edinburgh versus Hearts at Tynecastle, but could open up a six point gap on the Hibees with a long-awaited away victory this weekend.
  • Recent performances have been better for Hibs and, with the incentive to move off the bottom of the Premiership pile, they should take care of a travel-shy Ross County at Easter Road.
