Rangers
- Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin named an unchanged Terrors team for the third straight match after they beat St Johnstone 2-0 at Tannadice, before a sole goal was enough to beat Hearts at Tynecastle prior to the international break.
- Jack Walton continued in goal behind a back three of Emmanuel Adegboyega, Declan Gallagher and Ross Graham who netted the winner in Edinburgh. Craig Sibbald and Kevin Holt started in the centre of the midfield four.
- Will Ferry remained at left wing-back, with Luca Stephenson taking Vicko Ševelj's spot on the right. Macedonian duo David Babunski and Kristijan Trapanovski supported lone striker Jort van der Sande in attack.
- Rangers boss Philippe Clement made two changes from the Gers blowing Ross County away with a 6-0 victory at Hampden Park, before a 3-0 derby defeat to Celtic at Parkhead before the international break.
- Robin Propper replaced Leon Balogun to join James Tavernier, John Souttar and Jefte who kept their places in the Rangers back four. Connor Barron and Dujon Sterling continued to sit as the duo in front of the Gers defence.
- The only other alteration saw Mohamed Diomande replace Tom Lawrence in the middle of the park. Vaclav Cerny - on the right - and Rabbi Matondo - on the left and who picked up an injury on derby day - supported lone striker Cyriel Dessers.
