Team News

Man Utd
Liverpool
  • Mason Mount misses Manchester United's welcome of Liverpool having suffered a hamstring injury.
  • Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Rasmus Hojlund, Tyrell Malacia and Leny Yoro are all absent.
  • Manuel Ugarte should have joined in time but is unlikely to start against the Reds, while Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee should both make their first league starts of the season.
  • Curtis Jones is Liverpool's only concern ahead of the trip to Manchester United.
  • Nevertheless, Arne Slot should continue with the same XI that started the 2-0 win over Brentford.

Prediction

  • Manchester United fell to a late 2-1 loss at Brighton last weekend as they look to bounce back with another three points before the international break. United have a decent home record against the Reds of late, winning two and drawing one of the last three meetings between the pair at Old Trafford.
  • Liverpool, though, have made a solid start under Arne Slot, winning their opening two games 2-0. This is an early tough test for the Dutchman.
  • The Reds have been solid at the back but United usually up their game when Liverpool come to town. A repeat of last season's 2-2 draw wouldn't be a shock.

  • Quality performance by Liverpool!

  • Tonked at home - love it.

  • 1, Rashford (nice crosses) infected Zirkzee to become a joke 2. How can you expect to compete against top-quality opponents with Mainoo and Collyer in midfield (they may become very good players, but are far away from that vs quality opponents) 3. Martinez is out of form, why not pair Maguire with De LIgt and leave the former on the bench to "motivate" him? 4. Dalot should have been coached to stay focused for 90 minutes not only after conceding 1-2 goals. 5. Is Onana really better than De Gea? 6. Ruud vanNistelrooy should play for like 10 minutes to show them how to score in practice.

  • Ten Hug out, again

  • I feel sorry for the MU fans who have to put up with this garbage.

  • Error leading to goal by Mainoo? That was a foul on Mainoo, they didn't even bother giving a proper angle.

  • @Byakuya Not really an error but he's just weak as piss. MacAllister BODIED that little b***h.

  • @Byakuya Yeah there's no chance that was strong enough contact for a foul given the standard established the entire game

  • @Byakuya It was a tough tackle but not enough for a foul imo. Waiting for replay coverage post match to see if I missed something there

  • @sarigginsUSA Elbow on the back, not a shoulder-to-shoulder challenge so it's not his fault no matter it's a foul or not because it was enough for him to fall.

  • @Byakuya In fairness, yeah it's not really an error on his part. Surprised Casemiro isn't marked with two considering how poor losing the ball for the 2nd was.

  • Ten Ball Bags will be out by Christmas....was no point giving him a new contract, so lucky to have kept job....just because of one match against a hungover Citeh.

  • @harteless he still has a way of unbalanced first 11, let alone the whole squad to judge him as a failure.

  • @harteless Winning a cup is not just winning one match FFS! As for the "hungover" thing, that's a typical excuse losing teams use when they lose. It was a cup final, it was a derby and City lost, simple as that. I'm not a Man U fan, but Ten Hag is a good coach, he deserved to continue.

  • @harteless It wasn't because of the cup, it was only because of the options available. De Zerbi, Gareth Southgate or Thomas Frank? None of these were worth for a change, transfers were late again and that defending line is like never played together. Ugarte will also replace Casemiro, they will need time.

  • @Byakuya Thomas Frank all day

  • Casemiro single-handedly gave away 2 goals, back to factory settings after he managed to stay and kept his unnecessarily high salary.

  • @Byakuya indeed he and his family/friends should be checked for betting activities.

  • Over 2.5 goals

  • @Marbella That was easy :)

  • LIVERPOOL Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz, Jota.

  • MAN UTD Onana, Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Dalot, Casemiro, Mainoo, Garnacho, Fernandes, Rashford, Zirkzee.

  • It's difficult to predict Man Utd games because they can lose to Southampton this week and then beat Man City the next. They just randomly decide to turn up... Though, I feel that Liverpool isn't as good as what English media are saying, they just had less difficult fixtures. If I were a betting man, I'd go for a score draw.

  • Not gonna lie bruvv. United is trash. For sports bettors all equity lies on Liverpool. Slot also a much better coach than overrated Ten Hag.

  • @StickandMove Based on what exactly? Slot had just a few games with Liverpool and if you compare their Eredivise careers, Ten Hag was far better than him. He's not doing well currently, but still won 2 trophies in 2 years and too early to say anything for Slot.

  • @Byakuya Are you watching the game bruvv? How can you - as a manager - sign Onana, Mazraoui, de Ligt and Martinez? Their performance since their 'Ajax days' has been horrible. That said is a valid reason on it's own why ten Hag is a shitty manager. Slot has everything to proof indeed but he has a better vision and is the better manager/coach of the two.

  • @StickandMove I also don't like Ten Hag but if you think the current scoreline is Ten Hag's fault or this one game will change their overall success, you don't have a functional brain so don't waste anyone's time.

  • @Byakuya United 0 - Liverpool 3! I have enough of a functional brain to predict that equity lies on Liverpool. Again: ten Hag is overrated as fook! United is trash! City, Arsenal and Liverpool are miles ahead. Good luck hunting 4th place and have a nice evening

  • @StickandMove Since their Ajax days, Onana did very well with Inter. Bayern fans literally begged for De Ligt to stay, Martinez best defender for United since he came and Mazraoui also doing well so far even though he just came. Pretty sure you saw barely any game of Feyenoord to say anything about his vision, he's playing with the squad Klopp inherited and no new players in the current lineup. You're a clown who is trying to entertain yourself over some nonsense and acting like speaking facts, registration should be turned off for minors.

  • @Byakuya Whahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @StickandMove Thanks for commenting like a 10-year old and supporting my comment, pathetic.

  • @Byakuya Love you bro! Keep up the good work!

  • @Byakuya Whahaha you are funny brev!

  • @StickandMove we will be there.

  • liverpool 3-1. luiz diaz and salah to score anytime
