Nigeria went through every possible emotion in their semi-final against South Africa; when they thought they had sealed their place in the final in regular time, the referee overturned Victor Osimhen's goal and awarded a penalty to South Africa for a foul in the build-up.
Nevertheless, the Super Eagles did prevail, but only via a penalty shootout, with goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali the hero.
After losing their last two group matches, and their final one by a scoreline of 4-0, nobody would have predicted host nation Ivory Coast to be playing in Sunday's final.
The Elephants, though, have shown their best selves in their knockout stage matches, seeing off the likes of Senegal, Mali and DR Congo to take deservedly take their place in the final.
As with so many of the games at this year's tournament, it looks as though this one could be decided after regular time.
