- Dundee boss Tony Docherty named just one change to the Dee team despite a second 3-2 defeat to Hearts in just 11 days - this time at Dens Park - before losing 2-0 to St Mirren in Paisley on Wednesday night.
- Owen Dodgson, club captain Joe Shaughnessy and Lee Ashcroft continued as the back three in front of Trevor Carson. Liverpool loanee Owen Beck and Jordan McGhee remained at left wing-back and right wing-back respectively.
- Luke McCowan, Malachi Boateng and Lyall Cameron appear to be the first-choice midfield trio. However, the only alteration came in attack as Curtis Main replaced Amadou Bakayoko to partner Michael Mellon up front against his former club.
- St Johnstone boss Craig Levein named just one change to the Saints side that claimed a victory in the Highlands over Ross County by a sole goal last Saturday afternoon, before their midweek match at McDiarmid Park ended 1-0 to Hearts.
- Oludare Olufunwa joined Ryan McGowan, Andy Considine and Tony Gallacher in the back four, replacing the injured David Keltjens in Saints' only alteration. Fran Franczak and Luke Robinson started on the right and left-hand side respectively.
- Connor Smith, Max Kucheriavyi and Graham Carey were the three chosen in the middle of the park, aiming to provide ammunition for sole striker Benjamin Kimpioka who netted the winning goal against Ross County last weekend.
