- Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes named three changes to the Killie team that blew a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Hibernian at Rugby Park the weekend before last, before a 1-1 draw at Fir Park with Motherwell last weekend.
- Will Dennis, Killie's keeper on loan from AFC Bournemouth, took Kieran O'Hara's place between the sticks. Tom Davies started alongside Stuart Findlay, Joe Wright and goalscorer Lewis Mayo at left-back replacing the suspended Corrie Ndaba.
- Liam Polworth took Rory McKenzie's place in the middle of the park, accompanying David Watson in midfield. There was a spot amongst the substitutes for Greg Stewart and Kevin van Veen to feature against his former club.
- Davie Martindale named four changes to the Livingston team that was held at home in a 2-2 draw with relegation rivals Ross County last midweek, before a 3-0 defeat to Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday afternoon.
- Shamal George came back in between the sticks, replacing Michael McGovern in goal. Michael Nottingham made way for Shaun Donnellan to start alongside Ayo Obileye and Mo Sangare at centre-back, as he replaced Steven Bradley.
- There was a debut for David Carson, who has swapped Inverness for Livingston, in the middle of the park. He joined Jason Holt, Andrew Shinnie and Scott Pittman in support of lone striker Joel Nouble as Kurtis Guthrie dropped out of the team.
