- Stephen Robinson named two changes to the St Mirren side that nicked a last-gasp equaliser which saw them leave Livingston with a point in a 1-1 draw, before a 1-0 win on the road against Motherwell at Fir Park.
- The Buddies were able to welcome back club captain Mark O'Hara, their influential midfielder who was named their Player of the Year last season, as he replaced Keanu Baccus to join Caolan Boyd-Munce in the Saints midfield.
- Stav Nachmani was the Buddies' hero in West Lothian, netting in the 96th minute but the young Israeli who is on loan from Maccabi Haifa wasn't chosen to lead the line. Mikael Mandron replaced Toyosi Olusanya as Saints lone striker last Saturday.
- Hearts boss Steven Naismith made just one change after the Jambos lost 1-0 to Motherwell at Tynecastle prior to the international break, before they responded with a 2-0 victory over Aberdeen in Gorgie last Saturday.
- Zander Clark continues to have Nathaniel Atkinson, Frankie Kent, Kye Rowles and Stephen Kingsley as the back four in front of him. Peter Haring and Cammy Devlin started once more, in front of the unchanged defence.
- The men in maroon's only alteration saw Kenneth Vargas - who made his full international debut for Costa Rica during the break - replace Alex Lowry. Weekend goalscorers Yutaro Oda and Liam Boyce also supported Lawrence Shankland up front.
