- Hibernian manager Lee Johnson guided his side to European football last time out and that's very much the aim for Hibs once again this season. The Hibees have been busy this summer in their pursuit of continental competition.
- Goalkeeping duo Jojo Wollacott and Max Boruc have signed from Charlton Athletic and Polish side Slask Wroclaw respectively. Centre-back Will Fish has signed on loan from Manchester United for another season.
- Fellow defender Riley Harbottle has been loaned to Hibs from Nottingham Forest. Left-back Jordan Obita has left Wycombe Wanderers to join Hibernian. Dylan Levitt departed recently relegated Dundee United for the Hibees.
- Élie Youan turned his temporary stay at Easter Road into a permanent one. Adam Le Fondre has swapped Sydney FC for Edinburgh and fellow striker Dylan Vente has joined from Roda JC in his native Netherlands.
- Stephen Robinson hopes to lead St Mirren into the top six again this season, after the Buddies advanced into the League Cup with three victories from their four matches in the group stage.
- Goalkeeper Zach Hemming, previously of Kilmarnock, has signed on loan from Middlesbrough as Trevor Carson has joined Dundee. Right-back James Bolton has joined the Buddies from Plymouth Argyle.
- Winger Conor McMenamin has signed from Glentoran in his native Northern Ireland. He could support either Mikael Mandron who's signed from Motherwell or Stav Nachmani who has signed from Israeli side Maccabi Haifa.
