Team News

Man City
Brighton
  • Kevin De Bruyne is sidelined until later this year, yet is City's only confirmed injury.
  • Rodri, who has now served his three-match suspension, will return for Pep Guardiola here.
  • Brighton could be without up to four players for the trip to Manchester.
  • Pervis Estupinan is not expected to return for a number of weeks, after sustaining a muscle injury.

Prediction

  • Manchester City will be much relieved to have Rodri back, having lost each of the three matches that the midfielder missed through suspension.
  • Guardiola's side have also won every match the Spaniard has started this season.
  • With the loss at the Emirates prior to the international break, City have now lost consecutive Premier League matches for the first time since 2018.
  • A third consecutive league defeat here would mark the first time that has happened under Pep Guardiola's management.
  • Brighton have not won in four consecutive matches in all competitions, and were well beaten at Aston Villa on their last Premier League away day.
  • The Seagulls have never won an away league game against Manchester City (D2 L11), losing their last nine visits in a row by an aggregate score of 24-3.
  • That run is expected to continue here.

  • Borussia Dortmund really ripped City off for Manuel Akanji. One of the worst defenders in the PL currently.

  • Under 5 goals???? will winn??

  • I'd really like to make a case for Brighton here, but unfortunately I don't think they have much of a chance here. It's still absolutely possible for an upset, but Milner and March at fullback is an incredibly risky ploy that will only work if Brighton can completely overrun City's midfield by stretching it vertically.

  • Man City Win and over 2.5 goals in the game.

  • @Marbella @ 1.75 Odds

  • @Marbella thank you very much

  • 0-0 Draw

  • @Oversonly Under and BTTS No cash it!

  • i wonder mancity will win when mancity - 1.5?

  • 4-0 if starting line-up is like predicted

  • Bet W1

  • When two highly capable xG sides face each other, I see nothing but a goals fest here. 4 of last 5 when these met had at least 3 goals. City needs a win desperately before things get out of hands but they can’t stop Brighton from scoring who play fearlessly even in away games as they amassed 8 goals in 3 away matches this season. Given City have conceded in 8 of 11 matches this season in all the tournaments and given we still don’t know if City are back to their winning ways but all roads lead to both the teams scoring and another o2.5 goals match - 1.80

  • Haaland had a good season but it was not Ballon Dor worthy. A Ballon Dor striker playing for Guardiola should score 70 in the season and 90 in the calendar year. The standard set by Messi in his early 20s. Haaland had similar G+A as 35 year old Messi.

  • The Treble Champions of Fútboll/Soccer, Man City are gods and will depose of Brighton 4-0, Alvarez continues to be Citys best player scoring a goal and 2 assist

  • @STLOUIS..SOCCER No, they are not. You, on the other hand, are an idiot.

  • Both to score, more than 3 goals.

  • 12 league games since Brighton kept a clean sheet.

  • Brighton are averaging 2.62 goal per league game.

  • 2-2
