Team News

Celta Vigo
Barcelona
  • Brais Mendez has reached the yellow card limit and will miss this one, while Santi Mina has picked up a knock.
  • Mina is likely to be deputised by Augusto Solari, while Iago Aspas is likely return after starting from the bench last time out.
  • Fran Beltran could get himself a start in the absence of Brais Mendez.
  • Barcelona are close to appointing former midfielder Xavi as their new manager.
  • Sergio Aguero is out until early February after being diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat.
  • Gerard Pique is a recent blow and will likely be replaced by the returning Ronald Araujo.
  • Sergino Dest and Sergi Roberto are doubts but could be in contention.
  • Ansu Fati and Frenkie de Jong returned from injury in midweek in a double boost.
  • Ousmane Dembele returned from injury in midweek but is already back out with a muscle problem.

Prediction

  • Celta Vigo have had a difficult season so far but they picked up an away point to Rayo Vallecano last time out. That might not have looked like a good point at the start of the season, but since then, Rayo have gone on to amass the best home record in the league and are one of the highest scoring teams in the division.
  • Barcelona continue to falter themselves, drawing 1-1 last time out in La Liga, though they followed that up with a 1-0 away win over Dynamo Kyi. That win keeps Barca's Champions League hopes firmly alive. Domestically, however, Barca are in disarray. They are without a win in three and languish down in ninth.
  • Regardless of the managerial situation, Celta have been poor this season and Barcelona should come away with all three points as they look to impress their new boss, whenever he arrives.

  • What error did Stegen make? Is being a clown really an error or more like a defining characteristic?

  • when was barcelona last time losing ball control? Didn't see this match but have seen most of them.... sorry but real thruth is... this team can't do anything this time... maybe few years later... There are really are some good new players but this takes time few years... Money wasn't problem few years ago... now it is... Was it surprise when messi left, things have a bit changed? Hard to play tiki-taka if there isn't players who can keep ball on foot... sometimes you should also shoot... There is bit better change to make goal when you shoot more than your enemies... I used to be in team barcelona but there are too many things to change nowadays... top 9... didn't except...

  • The ratings for Barcelona's midfield and defense are hilarious, by the way.

  • @BeautifulLoser sure 25 total dribbles of which the midfield contributed 18 average pass accuracy 146 passes 86% accuracy 1g 1assists 7 tackles 14% possession 5 key passes plz stfu if you dont know how shit works

  • @BEE10 stfu to your mother, kiddo. And given your manners she should have kept her legs shut.

  • @BeautifulLoser stupidity is contagious an i see You've got a friend in him nlas lol...kiddo?okay boomer enjoy this brief moments joy we'll be back sooner or later and all will be right in the world

  • @BEE10 Who is WE? Barcelona? Are you a club official or what? I guess you are not. It's always so funny how these losers with empty lives cling to a club's success. "WE will win", "WE will come back". Well, maybe THEY will be back, as soon as THEY find some more money to steal from the taxpayers, because that's what THEY do. You will remain a meaningless loser.

  • @BeautifulLoser well, no wonder they call this page whodribbled

  • @nlas Totally agree. These are useless stats.

  • Worst Barcelona EVER.

  • De jong deserves better club honestly

  • @Youzarix De Jong is overrated, last season he was great but now his performance has visibly dropped. As of now he's under Nico, Busi and Gavi on the pecking order and should be benched.

  • @Youzarix no , he doesn’t. He was bitching after the game about the 5 minutes over time. The ref was clearly on their side today, and he still bitches. He said they only get 3 minutes when they’re down and Celta got 5. Well, there were 6 substitutions and 2 longer VAR calls. Barca was a goal down against Madrid and got 7 minutes, and a goal down against Vallecano and got 8 minutes. Frankie was a good lad before coming to Barca, they have made him a regular Cule crying pussy and he deserves all of this.

  • Hahah remontada lemonada. Our boy tho Ezzalzouli is a good dribbler it seems, typical innit xD he should have played there since the beginning instead of Gavi who is simply not a natural winger.

  • This is unacceptable, KOEMAN OUT!

  • what a half by Celta. Grande cojones!

  • Barca 3-0 up but draw 3-3 ! haha

  • @nexus747 did nolito touch that ball with an arm? Seemed like a bounce off of his abdomen from most angles. And I have no hesitation to say that if that challenge by Mingueza was in the other box on, let’s say, Depay, the penalty would have been awarded. Anyways, what a great job by Celta, to come back after a terrible half like that.

  • Send Xavi back to Qatar, we have BARJUAN!

  • @GioMonaldo Too early ...

  • @neumi17 #XaviOUT

  • Aspas to score and card for Nolito

  • @alxdru what a prediction!

  • I believe Barca might root in for UCL and will be winners considering the fact every one has ignored the presence of Messi the goat. Still looks like a similar story to Coutinho and Liverpool

  • @BrilliantCon Liverpool gained 120M from Coutinho and bought with the money Alisson and VVD there weakness spots and already had prime Salah Mane and Firmino, Barca gained 0M from Messi best player in history and bought Luuk as a replacement and already has Goatwaith, yeah similar story xD

  • @TetouanMorocco wrong, Luuk is on loan, not bought.

  • Gavi winger? weird, right side looks dead, left one is fine, 2-1 to me

  • Tiki Taka is back, might take a while to reach-adjust though... Regardless, 1-3.

  • @GoldenChest Has Xavi been officially assigned to manage Barca?

  • @GoldenChest Has Xavi been officially assigned to manage Barca?

  • @GoldenChest Tiki Taka is back? Are you saying this based on their last away 0 -1 win against almighty Dynamo Kyiv?

  • 1:1 draw

  • No matter the form of Celta-Vigo, this team of Barcelona is so inconsistent that they don't convince in any way.

  • Few years ago celta was one of most entertaining team in LL, almost every game celta vs RM or BAR was 1:2 or 2:3. Is it same team hungry for goals or not?

  • 3-1 barca

  • @BEE10 welp was suppose to end 3-1 but the lads had other plans

  • 1-0 Mr Nolito to score winner.
