Team News

Getafe
Espanyol
  • Sabit Abdulai remains out here, while Chema Rodriguez is serving the second game of his two-game suspension.
  • Djene has returned from his suspension, while Jakub Jankto, Vitolo and Sandro Ramirez are all doubts.
  • Dario Poveda and Enes Unal started up top last time out and could well keep their places here.
  • Keidi Bare remains out but Miguel Llambrich and Oscar Gil are getting closer, even if they are unlikely to feature.
  • Key striker Raul de Tomas was sent off last time out, and so Loren Moron is likely to start up top.

Prediction

  • Getafe could do with a slice of luck as they continue to search for their first win of the season.
  • Last time out, Quique Sanchez Flores' men were within 20 seconds of a win over Granada thanks to Enes Unal's first half goal, but they conceded a late header and were forced to take home a point.
  • That followed a 3-0 defeat to Celta Vigo, so there were positives with Getafe looking more solid than previous outings. The Madrid side have avoided defeat in three of their last four games, but all of their positive results have been draws, and if they are going to avoid the drop, they need to pick up wins somewhere.
  • Espanyol picked up another big point last time out as they continue their impressive form in their first season back in La Liga.
  • A first half goal from Raul de Tomas put the Catalan side ahead against Athletic Club, and while Inaki Williams went on to equalise for the visitors, it was a good point nonetheless.
  • Espanyol are now unbeaten in four games, drawing their last two, and they will be confident of seeing off Getafe here, even away from home and without their star man de Tomas.
